HÈRCULES VAPORISER /GASIFIER
This is the device where the liquid LPG passes to the gaseous state with the subsequent reduction of the pressure. The gas coming from the tank reaches the vaporiser at the liquid state. Its pressure is reduced following the laminar process, going from the liquid state to the gaseous state. Heat taken from the engine’s cooling liquid is necessary for the complete transformation. For this purpose, the Hèrcules single-stage vaporiser comes with a large surface of heat exchange that allows the complete gasification process to take place even in more demanding situations (low room temperature, large amount of fuel for long trips).

ÈLIOS GAS ECU (GAS ELECTRONIC UNIT)
The Èlios Gas Electronic Control Unit is the electronic device that supervises all the control and management functions of each component of the system. Some of the functions are described below.
a. Commands the functioning of the gas electro-injectors. The gas injection times are calculated by the gas ECU which receives them from the corresponding petrol injection times coming from the original ECU. Therefore, the gas ECU imitates the petrol ECU and realises the master/slave operation of the LPG system.
b. Interrupts and emulates the functioning of the original petrol injectors while in gas mode with the petrol.

ELECTRO-INJECTOR
The electro-injector is an electromechanical device, which is directly controlled by the gas ECU. It is in charge of the gas dosage coming from the vaporiser and directed to each cylinder. It is made up of an electromagnetic reel/shutter device that opens/closes the nozzles in less than three milliseconds, comparable to those of normal petrol injectors. The electro-injectors are normally closed. The gas ECU sends them electric impulses commanding the opening, thus allowing the gas to pass through the nozzle. The outer body of the electro-injector unit is made of diamagnetic materials, resistant to corrosion and temperatures typical of the engine compartment.

CHANGE-OVER SWITCH
The changeover switch (Fig. 2.5-1, pos. 15) is the electronic device that normally allows commanding the changeover between the two fuel systems installed on the car (petrol and gas). The change-over switch also has the function of indicating the LPG level present in the tank (the turning on of the LEDs is proportional to the quality of gas stored) and displays other useful information for the installer of the system and the user. It has a modern and basic design and is very compact which makes it easy to mount on the dashboard. |

SOLENOID VALVE
The engine compartment liquid phase LPG solenoid valve is an intercepting device for the liquid LPG coming from the tank and directed to the vaporiser. It is installed just upstream of the vaporiser in accordance with the UNECE R67-01 regulation. It consists of an electromagnet that by activating a shutter opens the valve allowing the LPG to pass. Therefore, it is a “normally closed” device that prevents the LPG from passing when electricity is not supplied. Furthermore, the solenoid valve body contains a filter (a filtering capacity of up to 10 μm) to hold any solid impurities present in the LPG liquid.

|
FL01 FILTER
The FL01 filter has a mechanical action, and functions according to the principle of coalescence. The microdrops of liquid impurities suspended in the gaseous LPG are slowed down as they pass through the cartridge filter and amalgamate to form macro-drops. These macro-drops precipitate by gravity and deposit on the bottom. When the accumulated impurities reduce the efficiency of the filter, it can be disassembled executing ordinary maintenance (internal cleaning and replacement of the used cartridge filter) to restore its efficiency. |

and is sure to meet all your requirements. The EP100 is suitable for the vehicles
up to 120KW. EP's feature a fully adjustable seperate IDLE circuit and adjustable
sensitivity. | |
ELKO EP175
The
EP175 uses twin secondary valves that operates on a progressive basis, alongwith
an extra heat exchanger. This increase the output to 175KW. Whilst maintaining
a compact design. | |
| CARBURATTORS
& MIXERS |
SERIES 1000
The
Series 1000 is compact in design, and is ideal for installations on small vehicles
when mixer selection is goverened by space restrictions. This mixer is also widely
used on fork trucks accross the world. With a flow rating of 207 CFM it is suitable
for vehicles up to 2.7L in capacity.
SERIES
2000
The Series 2000 Mixer uses the same air valve and flange adaptors
as the Series 3000, but is configured with the Inlet and Outlet at 90 degrees.
This enables the "MV" system to utilised in a broader range of applications.
The Series 2000 is rated at 296 CFM.
SERIES
3000
The Series 3000 is the big brother to the Series 2000. The straight
through configuration of the 3000 increses the flow rating to 349 CFM. This Mixer
is commonly used on 6 cylinders and V8 engines up to 5.0 L.
SERIES
4000
The Series 4000 Mixer is ideally suited to large 6 cylinders engines
and a broad range of V8's. Rated to 437 CFM. the Mixer has a great horsepower
potential. | |
ELKO Hi Flow
The
ELKO Hi Flow unique air direction mechanism is the key to mixer success. It gaurentees
no loss of performence on petrol and amazing LPG performence figures, because
the mixer venturi can be adjusted to suit any engine. The package is avalible
in three configurations.
Standard 175KW
Hi Perf 240KW
Extra Hi Perf 350KW | |
